【摘要】:Thislow-pressureairtestdetectsdamagedpipingorimproperjointingbymeasuringtherateatwhichairunderpressureescapesfromanisolatedsectionofsewer.Therateofairlosswillindicatethepresenceorabsenceofdamagedpipingorleakingjoints.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoshowtotalsystemwaterleakagelimitsandcannotbeusedasaquantitativemeasureofleakageunderserviceconditionsforinfiltrationorexfiltration.Note18212;Afindingofacceptableairlossspecifiedinthistestmethodcanbeinterpretedasaninstallationacceptancetestinlieuofinfiltrationorexfiltrationtest.Thistestmethodwillensurethebestpossibleinitialconditionandqualityworkmanshipofallproperty-installedsewerpipe.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesproceduresfortestingplasticpipesewerlines,usinglow-pressureairtoprovetheintegrityoftheinstalledmaterialandtheconstructionprocedures.Twoproceduresareincludedtofindtherateofairleakage-theconstant-pressuremethodandthetime-pressuredropmethod.1.2Thistestmethodshallbeperformedonlinesafterallconnectionsandservicelateralshavebeenpluggedandbracedadequatelytowithstandthetestpressure.Thetimebetweencompletionofthebackfilloperationandlow-pressureairtestingmaybespecifiedbytheapprovingauthority.1.3Thistestmethodalsomaybeusedasapreliminarytest,whichenablestheinstallertoshowtheconditionofaburiedlinepriortofinalbackfill,paving,andotherconstructionactivities.1.4Thistestmethodisapplicabletoallgravitysewerlinesmadeofthermoplasticpipe,reinforcedthermosettingresin(RTRP)pipe,andreinforcedplasticmortar(RPM)pipe,definedinTerminologyD883,D1600,andF412.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection5.
